Our partner Nippon Shokubai is a leading producer of these materials, possessing
the largest production capacity in Japan with acrylic acid and super absorbent
polymers that are highly regarded throughout the world for their technological
excellence and superior quality. Currently, many major chemical manufacturers
employ the acrylic acid production technology of Nippon Shokubai, which accounts
for approximately 55% of the worldwide acrylic acid production capacity. The
total sales of the AQUALIC CA, super absorbent polymers, used for sanitary goods
such as disposable diapers, satisfy a quarter of the world demand. These two
product categories constitute the core of Nippon Shokubai's business.
