ENGINEERING PLASTICS - POLYAMIDE & POLYAMIDE
INTERMEDIATES
Our BASF Range of Polyamide 6 and Polyamide 6.6 as well as their raw materials;
Polyamide intermediates - Fiber intermediates are the basic building blocks in
the production of synthetic fibers. Our fiber intermediates are arranged into
two production lines: – the PA 6-Line with Ultramid® BS (Polyamide 6 spin grade
polymers), Caprolactam and Hydroxylammonium sulfate – the PA 6.6-Line with
Ultramid® AS, AH-Salt, Hexamethylene diamine, Adipic Acid and Acrylonitrile.
Ultramid®/Capron® (PA) - polyamide grades molding compounds on the
basis of PA 6, PA 66, various copolyamides such as PA 66/6 and partially
aromatic polyamide.
Ultraclean BatchTM - for fast and efficient cleaning of injection molding
plasticizing units.
Ultradur® (PBT) - partially crystalline saturated polyesters. This line
is based on poly(butylene terephthalate) and is employed in applications
demanding a high performance level such as load bearing parts in different
industrial sectors.
Ultraform® (POM) - polyoxymethylene copolymer product range comprises
versatile engineering plastics having the most varied properties designed for
use in exacting components capable of withstanding high stresses.
Ultrason® (PESU and PSU) - product line encompasses polysulfone (PSU) and
polyethersulfone (PESU) under the brand name Ultrason® E.
